Mark Twain’s the Adventures of Toms Sawyer and the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn were two of the first of three Twain novels Thomas Hart Benton illustrated. Limited Editions Club, a publisher dedicated to producing editions of classic literature with illustrations by the finest living artists, republished the two novels in 1933 and 1942, respectively. These drawings beautifully demonstrate Benton’s mastery of pen, brush, and ink.
