I've Got To Repossess - 11x17 Newspaper Negative by Tom Engelhardt
'I've got to repossess the drum and uniform'
This is the original newspaper negative by political cartoonist Tom Engelhardt featuring the cartoon printed in The St. Louis Post-Dispatch on September 18, 1985. In the cartoon, Reagan is in a marching band uniform beating on a drum labeled 'Reaganomics.' A man is giving him a piece of paper saying 'U.S. Becomes Debtor Nation.' This is a one of a kind item and the proceeds help benefit The State Historical Society of Missouri's Engelhardt Cartoon Collection.
