There's Too Much Fat - 11x17 Newspaper Negative by Tom Engelhardt'There's too much fat on this hog'
This is the original newspaper negative by political cartoonist Tom Engelhardt featuring the cartoon printed in The St. Louis Post-Dispatch on January 16, 1979. In the cartoon, Joseph Teasdale is a butcher. He is holding a dead 'MO Social Services Budget' chicken in one hand and meat cleaver in the other. Teasdale is commenting, 'There's too much fat on this hog.' This is a one of a kind item and the proceeds help benefit The State Historical Society of Missouri's Engelhardt Cartoon Collection.
