Presented in harcover commemorative quality edition you'll literally be blown away by the photography and artistic presentations you'll find within the pages of this hardcover one-of-a-kind just-released edition. This book has it all including history, art and never-before seen images. You will follow the first hundred miles of the Missouri River and surrounding countryside with more than 20 essayists written by Missouri's top leaders, conservationists, and writers including one by William Least Heat Moon, the author of Blue Highways.

I hope readers will pick up this book to read about a subject they love and learn about another they may not know as much about. Whether you are interested in local food, grapes and wine, architecture, history, conservation or art, there is a unique story or vignette in this book for you. This 100-mile stretch of the Missouri River Valley is a terrific civic asset for St. Louis, and what has happened there is remarkable. Missouri River Country is a tribute to the natural resources and history that make our region so special.”
