The idea for the State Flower Card Collection came from a quote the artist read when traveling through the beautifully flowered highways in East Texas near Austin.
The quote is by Lady Bird Johnson which reads, “Where flowers bloom so does hope.”
She found the quote to be truly inspiring and the starting point for the collection.
As First Lady, Lady Bird started a beautification project to improve conditions in Washington D.C.
