About the Author
Michelle Pollard and Robert J. Wybrow have been dedicated to preserving the history of Missouri's James family and have been contributing articles to the James Farm Journal for the past twenty years. Born, bred, and still living in England, Robert J. Wybrow has been writing about Jesse James for over fifty years, and Michelle Pollard is the current Editor of the James Farm Journal. Both authors have won the James Farm's Writer's Contest in the Nonfiction section on numerous occasions and have been named recipients of the James-Younger Gang's "Perry Award". This volume marks the first time their collaborative and individual historical articles have been collected together into a single volume.
The Friends of the James Farm have, since 1982, been dedicated to preserving the history of the old homestead and birthplace of Jesse Woodson James, Missouri’s most famous and infamous son. The 'James Farm Journal', first appearing in September 1982 as a single, double sided sheet, is still going strong and now boasts sixteen pages of articles, news and events to which Robert J. Wybrow and Michelle Pollard have been contributing for the past twenty years. Although both born, bred and still living in England, Bob has been writing about Jesse James for over fifty years, and Michelle is the current Editor of the James Farm Journal. Both have won the James Farm’s Writer’s Contest in the Nonfiction section on numerous occasions, and have been named recipients of the James-Younger Gang’s “Perry Award”.
