About the Author
Mary Kristen Heitkamp lives in Columbia, MO. She attended the University of Missouri, traveled extensively and spent 23 years living in the Missouri River town of Rocheport. Her creative work was published in Missouri Short Fiction (1985), Missouri Women Writers: The First Anthology (1987) and Exposures: Essays by Missouri Women (1997). She is the author of A Woman's Guide: Healing from Trauma (2003).
